On January 20th and 21st 2017 we held a number of workshops and symposia at the Klinikum Augsburg. The event marked the final meeting of the EU funded research project "ADVANCE" on dynamic OCT and celebrated its successful completion.

This project led to the development of a dynamic OCT system, the VivoSight Dx, which is now clinically evaluated for investigation of skin cancer vasculature. The symposium featured brand new research on the use of melanocytic skin lesions and provided the opportunity to meet with well-known experts in the field of OCT.

The agenda comprised the following well-received events:

 OCT in Practice

Dan Woods, Sandra Schuh, Nathalie De Carvalho

A hands-on introduction to the practical use ofthe VivoSight OCT probe: OCT technique, indications, healthy skin, physiologic changes, inflammatory skin diseases, skin tumors, dynamic OCT, training and measurements of patients

Dermoscopy in daily routine

Prof. Dr. Andreas Blum, Hautarztpraxis Konstanz

OCT in Focus

OCT - new indications, dynamic OCT, new technique, combination of methods

ADVANCE working group, Robert Huber, PhD, other international OCT experts
